The story is all over the Internet about how the judge in the RI lawsuit found that the old lady's niece did not have enough legal standing to get some of the money that went to the Legion.
This is not the first time that the Legion has targetted Senior Citizens to get at their money. REGAIN, www.regainnetwork.org, has at least one other story of Legion vultures descending on the vulnerable.
What makes this case even more cynical is that the ancient widow was incorporated into the Regnum Christi Movement to make sure millions went to the Legion.
It appears that Mrs. Mee was cultivated by none other than Fr. Maciel himself, the saint, and by the Rev. Anthony Bannon, spiritual director, vocation recruiter and formator par excellence.
